2003 Journal
February
is a short month! I am glad I was able to update before
it was almost over! The
busier I get, the harder it is to find time to do this...but I
promise to update you on my major accomplishments!
Big event for this month is, Mommy & Daddy are going on a
trip...away from me for 3 days!! Grammy & Pap-pap
are coming...not sure how we will all do!?!?

I'm
19 Months Old Today!

Hi there!
This is one of my 18 month old pictures...however, I just turned 19
months today!! Yea!
I have been
up to lots and into lots too! I am always talking and like to
try and say what you are saying. I say quite a few words now,
and not all of them are only understandable by Mommy &
Daddy. Let me see if I can remember some of them:
"Dad-dee" - actually means Daddy now!
"Dat-da" - Santa
"ooce" - juice
"Bob-ba" - Bob the Builder
"bue" - blue (Blue's Clues)"
"bapple" - apple
"nana" - banana
"bye-bye" - bye
"boo" - book
"car" - car
"whoa-whoa" - is a fire truck
"guck" - truck
"ish" - fish
"lellow" - yellow
"puple" - purple
"ba" - ball
"go-go" - sports on TV
"sue" - shoe
"gock" - sock
And lots more...but these are the ones I use quite often.

I have gotten a
new tooth and no more have shown signs of appearing yet...but Mommy
seems to think they will surface soon! So, I have 7 all
together now. I am growing taller everyday, as my size 18
month pants are no longer too long. Mommy has had to put away
a lot of my 12 month stuff. We haven't done an official weigh
in or height...I just don't have the patience for that...maybe next
month!
I've been
busy helping Mommy and Daddy get the house cleaned up. We put
a lot of stuff that was in my closets in storage and the pool table
from the basement is put away! We are going to make a
playroom...ALL FOR ME!!! I can't wait. We hope to have
pics up of that when it gets done.
Some things I
like to do is play with my cars and trucks, read my books...the ones
about trucks is still my favorite but I got this new "Bob Ba"
one that is really cool!! I sit and read a lot and Mommy &
Daddy read to me too! We made play dough and I had fun
helping. I like to play with my crayons but Daddy gets upset
when I eat them! Mommy and I did some painting today...that
was fun! I like to be a helper too. Mommy lets me put
dirty dishes in the dishwasher. I will put my cup in the sink,
throw garbage away and it's my job to feed the fish in the
morning! I like to watch them come up for the food.

I wanted to wish
everyone a Happy Valentine's Day today. I had a pretty busy
day. This morning Mommy took me to my friend, Derrick's house,
for our weekly playdate. I really enjoy going there, he has a
lot of cool things to play with. Today, we glued hearts on
paper. It was fun and sticky!!
I got to stay home with Daddy today instead of going to daycare
because he wasn't feeling to great and stayed home from work.
Mommy brought home all my valentine's and treats from my
friends. We had fun opening them all. I gave Daddy and
Mommy their presents too. I got Mommy some candies and Daddy
some candies too. I also made Daddy a train magnet that I had
painted. It said "I choo-choo choose you"! HA
HA...for those of you who watch The Simpson's, will get the
joke! Mommy & Daddy got me this cool Blue's Clues card and
sucker, a toy car that had candy in it (this was my favorite) and a
Magnet School House.
Amanda and Uncle Mark came over later and we had stromboli and they
watched a movie after I went to bed.

More
Teeth! Finally!

Well, like Mommy
said, I am getting a lot of teeth...all at the same time. The
last one that came through was my right lower lateral incisor.
The left one still shows no signs of breaking through.
However, all FOUR of my 12 month molars have broken through the
gum. No wonder I've been a cranky, drooling mess for the last
few days! I'll let you know when they have come in completely
as it could be some time!

The Big Snowstorm of 2003! **

16-17 , 2003 |
Boy, did we have
the biggest, hugest, snowiest snowstorm that I have ever
seen!! It started early Sunday morning and it must have snowed
non-stop until noon on Monday!! Daddy sure did have a lot of
shoveling to do! Daddy's car was completely covered and the
snow on our deck was up to the door knob!!! It was fun
watching Daddy climb out there so he could shovel it off! He
had to use the step ladder and basically "jump" out into
it! I wish I could have helped do that!! It took all day
for Daddy to get the driveway shoveled and his car out from under
the snow and in the driveway! I got to go out and play in the
snow too! Well, when I could move. Some places I would
just sink down in it and get stuck!! Most of the time I could
just crawl across the top of it. Mommy didn't like that
because it was hard for her to catch me!! The news said the
total accumulation for our area was around 28 inches!!! That's
almost as big as me!! We did have some snowdrifts on our front
lawn that were MUCH bigger than that! Our neighbor couldn't
even get out of her front door!! I guess that it is good we document
this occasion with pictures and my journal entry. The last
storm of this magnitude was in 1983!! So, who knows if and
when we will see another one so big!!

Mommy said that
I have to tell you about this "cute" thing that I do so I
can look back on it later in life. You see, I do enjoy to
watch TV...a little too much maybe, but anyways, the FOX channel is
on a lot around here. The Simpson's are on that channel, you
know. Anyway, we watch That 70's Show too. They always
have commercials on about it too. Well, my favorite is the Ashton
Kutcher's character, Kelso, one. He stands there and asks,
"Who has two thumbs and likes That 70's Show?" Then
he points his thumbs up at himself and says, "This
guy!!". Well, I imitate that. My "this
guy" doesn't sound quite the same but it is what I mean.
It gets a pretty good laugh around here and I think that Mommy
caught me on video...so
I will be haunted with it forever.
