Happy
Fall Y'All! Boy oh boy, did it get cold around here
pretty quick. Daddy hopes it's just a "phase"
and that these winter breezes will blow on through! An
exciting month...we have lots we want to do! I'm excited
for trick or treating this year! I bet I get even more
candy this time around!

Middletown
& Hummelstown Railroad Trip
October 5, 2003 |
Today
"Aunt" Jenny, Todd, Jessica, TJ and Logan came to
visit. I'm lucky I get to see them once every month!!
TJ, Logan and I always have fun playing trucks...they can run them
fast across the floor too! Mommy and Daddy try but they aren't
so good at it!
Anyway, we went to Middletown today. First, we got to play at
the "Kids Kastle" playground! I had never been there
before and it was great. There was a huge sandbox and lots of
other obstacles to keep us busy! After a bit we went to
ride the train!! YEA!! I wasn't happy about it at first
because I was busy playing in the gift shop with the Thomas play set...man,
I love that toy!! Once that whistle blew...I was
excited. We took a nice drive down to Hummelstown, hearing
some history along the way. I liked watching the trees go
by. On the way back I was able to sit with Jessica and we
clapped along with the music they played. Daddy bought all us
kids some candy...it was a fund raiser to help in restoring the
trains. I'm all for that. I had a yummy, delicious,
gooey, can't get enough of it "ocolate" bar!!

Fall
Harvest at Ashcombe
October
11, 2003 |
Mommy, Daddy and
me went to Ashcombe Garden Center for their Fall Harvest
celebration! First, we went on a hay wagon ride. That
was a lot of fun and I really liked the horsys! Then we walked
over to the pumpkin patch and I got to pick out my very own,
"Cole-sized" pumpkin! Daddy even let me pay the guy
at the counter! I had fun running around the field and playing
in the hay bale playground they had set up!

A
Fun Sunday
October
12, 2003 |
Today, we went
to Cocoa Castle...it's a huge playground like the one we went to on
October 5th...but this one is in Hershey. Get
it....Cocoa? Hee-hee. We could actually smell the
chocolate from the factory when we got out of the car!! I had
fun playing there, running around with Mommy, going on the slide
with Daddy and swinging!
Next, we ran over to Pumpkin World to get our big pumpkins that
Daddy and me will carve. I wasn't much help picking those
out. I just wanted to run around and explore all the cool
stuff they have there!

Swimming
Lessons Begin
October
14, 2003 |
Today, Mommy
took me for my first swimming lesson at The Friendship Center.
WOW...what a fun time we had! This place was tons better than
the YMCA that I went to last year with Daddy. I have two
teachers, Steve and Joanne. They both were really nice and get
very excited about swimming! The pool was great! It is
huge! I liked it most because you can walk into it at a zero
level...just like the lake we went to over the summer! First,
we walked in up to our waist and back out...then I had to do it all
by myself! I did a great job and Mommy cheered me on!
Then we sang a welcome song and got to splash in the water.
Next, was the elevator game, where Mommy would hold me and bounce up
and down in the water and we moved to deeper water. We met
"Freddy the Frog"...he's a slide that I will get to go
down soon!! I had to practice kicking and laying on my
back....I didn't like either of those too much. Jerry said
that we will be jumping in the water and going under by the end of
the class!!! I don't know about that! Anyway, Mommy was
very proud of me...I didn't get upset once!! I'll keep you
posted how things are progressing and what I am learning!

Grammy
& Pap-Pap Visit/Hershey Park/Pap's Gift/Derrick's Party
October
18-21, 2003 |
Grammy &
Pap-Pap came to visit me this weekend. It had been since my birthday
when I saw them last. They brought me a cool game that was my
Uncle JG's. It is called "Hungry, Hungry Hippos"...I
call it "ungy,ungy"...anyway, it is a lot of fun to
play! I was busy showing them all of my new tricks, my
choo-choo and showing them how much I talk now. I kept them
very busy the entire visit!
Saturday Evening~ We all went to Hershey Park in the Dark!
This was the first time I got to where my "devil" costume
outside! Everyone thought I was sooo cute. Mommy was
glad that I left my hat on! First, we rode the tram into the
park...and that was a lot of fun! I could do that all
day! We rode the Giant Wheel...I wanted Pap-pap to go up but
he wouldn't. I told him it would be okay...he could hold my
hand if he wanted to...oh well. I rode the little choo-choo,
the cars, the fun slide, the monorail (Pap and Grammy rode that
one!) and played a game. I also got to go through the
"trick or treat trail" and I got all kinds of
chocolate. I held my bucket up to each table and said, "ocolate,
peas?" Finally, it just got too cold and was time to go
home. We got to ride the tram back to the car and I sat with
Pap and Grammy and chatted and laughed the whole way to the
car!! We had a nice time!
Sunday~ Amanda came to baby-sit me while Mommy & Daddy took
Grammy & Pap-pap out for his retirement gift. First, they
went to a restaurant, Miller's Smorgasbord in Lancaster to
eat. Pap-pap said it was really good and he really enjoyed the
shrimp and pecan pie! Grammy and Mommy said that the chocolate
cake was good. Then they went to a Kenny Roger's concert at
the American Music Theater. I guess there was a comedian first
that was pretty funny...Pap was in tears. Kenny was pretty
entertaining too...everyone was singing along! I am glad that
the grown-ups were able to have some fun too! As for me...Amanda
took me to...
....Derrick's 3rd Birthday party at the Fire Station! We got
to learn about fire safety and see a real live fireman in his suit
and a great big fire truck. I was a little bit afraid of it
though. Amanda is a great babysitter...she let me eat all junk
food at the party AND two pieces of cake!! I had fun helping
Derrick open his gifts and play with his new toys. I hope he
liked what I got him...a Tonka Memory game, some sun catchers with
paint, a preschool workbook and a fire truck sticker book!!
What a busy weekend it was for everyone and a quick visit!
Grammy and Pap-pap watched me on Monday when Mommy was at
work. They had to leave on Tuesday. Grammy said they
would see me at Christmas. Pap said..."I retire in
November...maybe sooner...heehee!"

Swimming
Lesson #2
October
21, 2003 |
Mommy and me
went to my second lesson today! I did another great job!
Mommy is sooo happy with me AND the centers program. Today we
crawled around in the shallow and pretend to be alligators...Mommy
too! Mommy looks pretty silly being an alligator. I had
fun squeezing a ball of water over her head too! We played a
few games in the pool this week. "If your happy and you
know it", "Ring around the Rosy" and "The Hokey
Pokey". Of course the words and actions were all changed
to incorporate water things. Mommy learned how to enter a deep
pool with me so as to keep me safe, calm and happy. I had to
practice my kicking while on my belly and laying on my back, which I
still don't care for...but did it.
I can't wait to go again next week! Mommy is hoping I keep
doing well.

Children's
Miracle Network Corn Maze
October
25, 2003 |
We went to the
corn maze in Hershey today. It turned out to be a really nice
day for it. Daddy let me pick which maze to go through
first...I picked the balloon shaped one. I got to pick which
way to go and everything. It was fun walking through the tall
corn stalks. We had to find 6 check points along the way and
we found all of them! Daddy helped to navigate our way through
it too. He said if it was up to Mommy we would be in there
forever and a day. She agreed! I was tired after about
20 minutes in there, so I got to ride on Daddy's shoulders. I
would turn his head in the direction I thought we should go!
There are two mazes there but I was done after one. Since the
maze is located at Adventure Sports, we hung out a bit longer.
They have mini-golf, an arcade, batting cages, bumper boats and go
carts. I am still too little for the go carts...man, did I
want to try those things out! Daddy said he would bring me
there on my birthday. You have to be 3 to find with a
grown-up. I can't wait! We went inside and played some
fun games and I won lots of tickets. I liked the driving the
car games and stepping on the spiders game.

Carving
My Pumpkin with Daddy
October
25, 2003 |
Daddy and me
carved our pumpkin tonight! Daddy cut the top and I got to
pull it off....eww! It was fun pulling out all of the
"guts"! I did make Daddy do most of the work.
I liked putting the seeds in the bowl and then dumping them back in
the pumpkin! We made a scary face on our pumpkin this
year. We'll have to get a picture of it!

Swimming
Lesson #3
October
28, 2003 |
Mommy and I had
our third lesson today! I was so excited to get there and be
in the water. We played "If Your Happy and You Know
It" and we have to say ...then our wet faces will surely show
it..." Mommy has to wet her face too! We also had
to blow bubbles in the water. I didn't really feel like trying
that but Mommy sure did a great job! We practiced kicking
again and I did much better. We did some more lying on our
backs...I still don't care for that. Mommy learned how to get
out of the pool with me when we are in deep water. THEN....we
played "Ring Around the Rosey"...and went UNDER the
water...Mommy and me both. We came back up and everyone was
cheering and high fives all around. I even high-fived the
water!! After all of that excitement...we did it again!
That enough for one day. Next, we went over to Freddy the Frog
slide...and I got to go down him twice! Class was a lot of fun
and over too soon! I wonder what we will do next week? I
have a funny feeling that we will be doing that going under the
water thing again.

FunCare
Halloween Party
October
30, 2003 |
Mommy took me to
FunCare (where Mommy works in the afternoon) this morning so I could
participate in the party with my friends. I got all dressed up
in my devil costume...I like to wear it. All of my friends had
great costumes on: Lyle-tiger, Kyle-Elmo, Ellery-Pegasus,
Taylor-Lion, Camar-Blue's Clues, Amanda-pumpkin, Nikita-pumpkin,
Ashton-Roley Poley Ollie's sister, Owen-Spiderman, and
Isaac-Shreck. We had a parade outside so all the Mommy's and
Daddy's could see us and take pictures. I was the only devil
in the whole building! After the parade we played outside for
awhile and then had lunch. We had yummy cheese, Doritos,
peanut butter sandwiches and grapes! Amanda D. gave me a yummy
chocolate cupcake too! I believe we have a clip of me enjoying
that!

"Stinky
Feet"....(Trick or Treat)
October
30, 2003 |
|
Tonight was
trick or treat night! What fun! I got all dressed
up...again. Daddy, Mommy and me walked down the street.
We went to all the houses that had lights on. Everyone was so
nice to me and thought I was so cute. I was pretty
quiet. Mommy thought it was funny that I was saying
"stinky feet" (trick or treat) the whole time except for
when I was supposed to be saying it. We walked all around the
block and the entire street behind our house. I got lots and
lots and lots of sweet...sweet...ocolate!
