April 2005 Journal

April showers...that's for sure.  The way it rained in the beginning of this month...we should have some beautiful flowers come May.

Anyway, no big plans for this month.  A trip to Hershey Park, yard and house work are about it.

Boy, nothing like last April!   That's okay, we'll do some other fun things.

The Zembo Shrine Circus
April 2, 2005
Amanda, Mommy, Daddy and me all went to the Farm Show Complex today to see the circus.  This was a much smaller scale circus than the other one in Hershey but it was still fun for me.  They had yummy pretzels and cotton candy there too!  I really liked the motorcycle guys, the clowns, doggies doing tricks, and the elephants were cool too.  We had a nice day even though it was raining like crazy outside!

**On that note Amanda thought it was pretty funny that the 4 tickets she would get, put us in seats where the roof was leaking!!  Heehee...we managed to find some dry ones.  Mommy said that the Farm Show building is pretty old and hope they repair it soon!

Aunt Atina & Nickoli Visit
April 2-3, 2005
Aunt Atina and my cousin Nick came to visit.  I was so excited to see him...I haven't gotten to play with him since Thanksgiving.  We had so much fun running around the house playing cars and trucks.  We argued a little bit, almost like brothers, but nothing major that we didn't resolve ourselves.  I was sad for them to leave so early on Sunday but they were on their way up to Grandma & Pa-pa's house.  I thought I should get to go too.  I hope Nick gets Pa-pa to warm up that tractor because I am sure we will be up soon for a visit too!

A Real Big Boy Bed For Me!
April 3, 2005
Today we went shopping for a bed for my new room!  Sorry the pics haven't made there way online yet.  We have gotten distracted with other things and it's not completely finished yet.  Just some final touches.  Anyway, we found one that we liked.   I liked it because the headboard is like a bookcase.  I can put my cars/trains there that I sleep with and my water.  It isn't really a captains bed but still has some drawers underneath.  I also got a dresser with a mirror.  It looks very "boyish".  It is a light wood grain with blue accents.   The bed should be ready for us sometime in May.  I can't wait!

Springtime In Hershey!
April 10, 2005
YAY!  Hershey Park is finally open!  Only for a few days, but I have been asking to all winter long!  Mommy & me went for this special event.  I was sad that Daddy couldn't come with us but he had to work :(.  I couldn't wait to get there!  We (well, I) ran all the way to the entrance and Mommy bought us wristbands and off we went to find the first ride!  I rode all kinds of things...the balloons, rockets that went up and down (really high, I rode this with Mommy, it's a new ride), the cars with horns (these are my favorite), the convoy trucks, the flying falcons (this went high and fast too, also rode with Mommy), the merry-go-round, trailblazer roller coaster (again, with Mommy), turnpike cars, Kissing Tower, the monorail, the train....oh, I could go on.  We had so much fun!  I got to eat the best pretzel I've ever had.  "This pretzel ROCKS Mom!"  We got some fun drinks with silly straws and "ice cream from the future"...yummy!  We stayed all day...I got some really cool cars at the gift shop.  We found three, one with a Hershey bar, a Hershey kiss and a Reese Cup!  Mommy got me a shirt too...now, I look like a Hershey bar!

Mommy told Daddy when we got home how much fun we had, that we really wished he could have been there.  Mommy also told him how good I was..."couldn't have been more perfect" is what I heard her say!  :)

I LOVE HERSHEY PARK....WHEN ARE WE GOING BACK?

FunCare Finally Moves Back Downstairs!
April 11, 2005
Finally!  The construction work is done and Mommy was able to move her room back downstairs!  She had to stay at work really late to get things moved and in some kind of order.  She is staying combined with the other one-year old teacher because they liked how things worked out with them and how they worked together.  They moved into a bigger room and their new name for the group is, "The Monkeys".  Heehee.  We are all glad to back together on one floor.  Everyone thought I was pretty funny when I saw the walls that were blocking the hallway come down and said, "hey, we better hurry up and get out of here before it floods again!"

Well, let's hope that never EVER happens again!  Ugh!

Robots ~ The Movie
April 15, 2005
Tonight we went to see the movie Robots.  I got some yummy nerds rope candy (which I remembered getting the last time we were here and asked for it right away!), popcorn and soda.  I got a "big drink" all for myself.  I was excited to finally see this picture.  I told Mommy that I didn't like it, "it was scary" but I really did.  We talked about all the funny and "scary" parts on the way home.  I love going to the movies...when is the next one for kids going to be theaters, Mom?

Cache Aid ~ A Geocaching Event
April 24, 2005
Today we went to an "event" cache in Hoffer Park, in Middletown.  Although, the weather was kind of cool and rainy, it didn't dampen anyone's spirits of getting together for some caching fun.  I loved it because of the GIANT wooden playground, "Kids Kastle" and I played in there the whole time.  Mommy & Daddy had fun meeting new and old caching friends and talking about great hides in the area.  Daddy had a good time getting compliments from his puzzle cache, Llama Corner and his newly invented Outdoor Plumbing.  We ate a lot of good food.  We made "dirt" dessert and there wasn't a drop left!   I can't wait to go on another one of these adventures...but hopefully, the weather will be nicer.

Captain America Travels Abroad!
April 28, 2005
Captain America is one of our travel bugs.  What's a travel bug?  Well, this link explains it all.  We launched him in June 2004 with the simple goal of traveling the world.  Well....he had made it a short distance away to Delaware, Virginia and Maryland...getting lost for a bit...and then found....now the brave young thing has made his way to KUWAIT!  We are anxious and "very" curious to see if he makes it back in one piece!  Good Luck Captain...safe travels.  Here is a link to that particular geocache.  Ya Darina Ya Kuwait

The Lemmons Family Visits
April 29-30th, 2005
I am soo excited....my buddy Sam (and the rest of his family) came to my house for a quick visit!  They were in town with Sam's granddaddy for a Farmer's auction in Lancaster.  Sam's granddaddy is a farmer.  Anyway, I was so excited to play with my friend.  We played "guns" (Sam has some really cool ones and he brought them to share!) and trucks.  We played hard and all night long...we got to stay up way past our bedtime!  The grown-ups ate some wings and did some visiting or something boring like that.  We also had a good time letting Sarah (aka..."the baby") chase us around the house.  Everyone thought it was pretty funny that Sam kept calling me "Cole The Boy"...heehee.  I was sad to see them leave this morning but the Mommy's PROMISED we would get together again real soon!  There is a rumor that we may all try and go camping!
